Perfect Bowl Snack– Beer Ice Cream?

Are you tired of the same old snacks while watching the big game? Throw the guacamole out the window and feed the pretzels to you dog. Then try these out: Beer Ice-cream, Puffed Sauerkraut, and Blue Cheese Whiz.
The Wired Science blog asked some of the leading molecular gastronomists for finger foods recipes and got some expectedly strange answers. It would be fun to try some of these. Now where did I put that locust bean gum...

Okay, this reminds me of the old Iron Chef show, the one actually filmed in Japan. They were always making things that upon conception sounded too odd to work, but the judges were always satisfied. Clearly I am unable to make beer ice cream myself, but could Morimoto come to my house and make it for me, please?

Izzy's Ice Cream in St. Paul makes a smashing Guinness Ice Cream. Which BTW, is made using their solar array to chill their freezers. Its perfect on a summer day.
